Peak collecting at Venabu

Today we had a fantastic day of back country skiing with our friend and mountain guide Robert. Location: mountain peaks just north of Venabu. Weather: a fresh and crispy -15 to -20 C, blue skies and bright sunshine (some vitamin D is never a bad idea)
The goal for the day was a little peak-bingo in the vicinity (with a map as bingo card and skies to cross off conquered peaks).
The Bingo card was handed in at the end of the day with 27km, 1100 altitude meters, 5 peaks and breathtaking views all crossed off! In order of appearance: Flaksjølihøgda, the Inbetweenpeak (no name but considered by all three to be a peak), Svarthammaren, Tverrhøgda, and Nørdre Bølhøgda.

This time around we've chosen for the comfort and hospitality at Venabu Hotel since camping out in these temperatures requires a little more than our current 3 season sleepingbags... Take a look at Robert's blog on mountain skiing at Venabu Hotel: http://www.venabu.blogspot.no

Tomorrow: new round, new chances. Take out a new 'playing card', throw a coin in the jukebox, ignore any objecting muscles and off we'll go. The chase for another endorfin-high is on:-)!

With love, the junkies;)
